Sandra Moss to represent Shallay with "Volveré por ti"

Philharmonic City, Shallay - Tonight another entry of the 2017 National Song Contest has been chosen in the final of the Shallay Song Festival. Out of 22 entries, which had qualified in two semi-finals on the preceding nights, an expert jury and televote chose Sandra Moss. She will fly the Shallaier flag in The Navy with the song Volveré por ti, which translates as I will come back for you.



In an exciting show, the act representing Shallay in the 2017 National Song Contest has been chosen tonight: It's Sandra Moss! She will sing Volveré por ti in The Navy, a song composed by Moss herself and Miguel Rodríguez.

Sandra Moss already participated in The Voice UC and The Voice of Shallay and speaks Philharmonic and Spanish as her native languages and is also fluent in English and French. Currently she is not only famous for being a singer but also for hosting the show Laronja on SRT Illes Filharmòniques.

We R Sweet came second and Chasing Crowns third. The selection was made by a 50/50 combination of an expert jury votes and televote. One of the members of the jury was Natalia Jones, who had represented Shallay in the 2013 National Song Contest.

Rainbow & CD5 with the song 'Vuelves' for Columbus

Bath, Columbus - After much recent speculation CTV today has confirmed the announcement that girlband and boy band Rainbow and CD5 will represent Columbus in the 2017 National Song Contest in Maceiyo with the song 'Vuelves' sung in Spanish.



Rainbow, who have performed in arenas around the country and have sold 2 million records and so has CD5, will perform the song 'Vuelves' written by internationally´known songwriter Carla Beard.

Matthew: Six finalists chosen

Ginebral, Matthew - Today, 19 candidates were fighting for a spot in the Matthewer regional final in a so-called "expert check", which was broadcast live on the internet. In the end, the jury chose the six qualifying acts. Find out who they are!



The following acts have qualified for the Matthewer regional final, to be broadcast live from the Matthew Dome in Ginebral on January 14th:

  • Cross Stars - I Want to Live
  • Jessica Nettles - Drunk in Heels
  • Sonambulistas - Quiero que vuelvas
  • InterLines - Wish You Were on It
  • Jason Village and Kelsey Ball - First Time Again
  • Lauren Adkins - Road Less Traveled
The qualifiers were picked by an expert commission, taking into account their live abilities, singing qualities and stage presence. The expert commission included choreographer Rafael Álvarez, vocal coach and singer Tanya Dinner, MRT NSC editor David Meister, the director of Kritikal Music Kathleen Colombo, and musician Andrés Blázquez.
