Baixungdas: Hailey Steinfield wins Baixungdas' Way to the NSC 2017!

Arpeixo, Baixungdas - Tonight it was time for the Baixungdish public broadcaster to select the entry that will represent Baixungdas at the 2017 National Song Contest. The final of Baixungdas' Way to the NSC 2016 featured five young artists competing, and Hailey Steinfield turned out to be the winner, and will sing Starving in The Navy!



The regional final of Baixungdas for the 2017 National Song Contest, Baixungdas' Way to the NSC, just took place at the Lazàro Sancho Commemorative Arena in Arpeixo hosted by Victoria Baia.

The guest experts for the final were Christopher Boreman, associate Contest Producer for last year's National Song Contest in Braveville, and Marina Diamond, the Redzlighter superstar that came 4th in the 2014 National Song Contest in Wood Side.

The following artists and songs were in the competition tonight (interregional jury total + televoting of the first round = total of the first round):


  1. Hailey Steinfield - Starving (107+120 = 227)
  2. Sally Low - In Love (79+80 = 159)
  3. Tom Tomix - Bye te digo (65+60 = 125)
  4. Rebecca Gómez - Mangú (Poca luz) (79+70 = 149)
  5. Nick Grammer - Fresh Eyes (100+100 = 200)
So, after the votes of the international jury and the television audience, the top two proceeding to the super final were announced:

  1. Hailey Steinfield - Starving
  2. Nick Grammer - Fresh Eyes
After a second round of full televoting, it was announced that the winner was Hailey Steinfield, 20 years-old, who will represent Baixungdas in one of the semi-finals of the 2017 National Song Contest in The Navy with the song Starving.

Sandra Moss to represent Shallay with "Volveré por ti"

Philharmonic City, Shallay - Tonight another entry of the 2017 National Song Contest has been chosen in the final of the Shallay Song Festival. Out of 22 entries, which had qualified in two semi-finals on the preceding nights, an expert jury and televote chose Sandra Moss. She will fly the Shallaier flag in The Navy with the song Volveré por ti, which translates as I will come back for you.



In an exciting show, the act representing Shallay in the 2017 National Song Contest has been chosen tonight: It's Sandra Moss! She will sing Volveré por ti in The Navy, a song composed by Moss herself and Miguel Rodríguez.

Sandra Moss already participated in The Voice UC and The Voice of Shallay and speaks Philharmonic and Spanish as her native languages and is also fluent in English and French. Currently she is not only famous for being a singer but also for hosting the show Laronja on SRT Illes Filharmòniques.

We R Sweet came second and Chasing Crowns third. The selection was made by a 50/50 combination of an expert jury votes and televote. One of the members of the jury was Natalia Jones, who had represented Shallay in the 2013 National Song Contest.

Rainbow & CD5 with the song 'Vuelves' for Columbus

Bath, Columbus - After much recent speculation CTV today has confirmed the announcement that girlband and boy band Rainbow and CD5 will represent Columbus in the 2017 National Song Contest in Maceiyo with the song 'Vuelves' sung in Spanish.



Rainbow, who have performed in arenas around the country and have sold 2 million records and so has CD5, will perform the song 'Vuelves' written by internationally´known songwriter Carla Beard.

Matthew: Six finalists chosen

Ginebral, Matthew - Today, 19 candidates were fighting for a spot in the Matthewer regional final in a so-called "expert check", which was broadcast live on the internet. In the end, the jury chose the six qualifying acts. Find out who they are!



The following acts have qualified for the Matthewer regional final, to be broadcast live from the Matthew Dome in Ginebral on January 14th:

  • Cross Stars - I Want to Live
  • Jessica Nettles - Drunk in Heels
  • Sonambulistas - Quiero que vuelvas
  • InterLines - Wish You Were on It
  • Jason Village and Kelsey Ball - First Time Again
  • Lauren Adkins - Road Less Traveled
The qualifiers were picked by an expert commission, taking into account their live abilities, singing qualities and stage presence. The expert commission included choreographer Rafael Álvarez, vocal coach and singer Tanya Dinner, MRT NSC editor David Meister, the director of Kritikal Music Kathleen Colombo, and musician Andrés Blázquez.

Braveland: Laura Adkins and More & More to the final

Keyglass, Braveland - The Bravelander territorial selection for the National Song Contest, Braveland Song Contest 2017, just held its fourth semi-final in Keyglass. The seven last songs fought for two further places in the final which went to Laura Adkins and the band More & More.



The Braveland Song Contest tour moved to Keyglass for the fourth semi-final of Braveland's territorial selection for the 2017 National Song Contest. Alongside Flora East this time, on hosting tasks, it was Jennie J.

After the lines were closed the presenters announced the results of the fourth semi-final of the Braveland Song Contest 2017. These two were the winners and thus proceed to the final in Braveville:
  • Laura Adkins - Water Under the Bridge
  • More & More - Meteorite
Two further songs will get a second chance in the so-called Second Chance round:
  • Fire Starfishes - Walking Trough the Desert
  • Marina C - Anymore

The line-up for the third semi-final


These are the seven songs that took part in tonight's fourth semi-final, alongside their final placing:

What's next?

The Braveland Song Contest 2017 tour comprises six shows. The top two songs in the semi-finals, chosen by televoting and app voting, qualified for the final. The songs placed third and fourth in each of the semi-finals will compete in the Second Chance round:


Second chance

The second chance round will be held in Elmet on Saturday 12th of November. Hosted by Flora East and Emmanuel Williamson. There will be four duels and the winner of each duel will go to the final:

  2. Angelique Brown feat. Pollock - Like Lightning Medley - Can't Slow Down

Tonight: Braveland Song Contest semi-final 4 takes place in Keyglass

Keyglass, Braveland - Tonight, the Braveland Song Contest 2017 makes its way to The Hydro Auditorium in Keyglass as the fourth and last semi-final is being held.


This week Flora East is joined by Jennie J as host of the show. The show tonight will also see guest appearances from Ally Dixon and Laura Brealey. As ever the two most popular songs will go direct to the Love Arena's final, while the songs that place 3rd and 4th will have to go into the Second Chance round, which takes place next week.

The running order is as follows:

Maoriland, Braveland - The Bravelander territorial selection for the National Song Contest, Braveland Song Contest 2017, just held its third semi-final in Maoriland. Seven more songs fought for two further places in the final which went to The Bandits feat. Myryam & Saint Paul and Barrier Megan.



The Braveland Song Contest tour moved to Maoriland for the third semi-final of Braveland's territorial selection for the 2017 National Song Contest. Alongside Flora East this time, on hosting tasks, it was internationally-known singer Al Williams. 



After the lines were closed the presenters announced the results of the third semi-final of the Braveland Song Contest 2017. These two were the winners and, thus, proceeded to the final in Braveville:
